Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), has talked about what it was like to survive an Israeli airstrike on Yemen's main airport. He expressed concern about his chances of surviving the incident. Tedros made these statements on Friday.

Sana'ar International Airport in Yemen was the target of an airstrike by Israel last Thursday. At the moment, Tedros was at the airport. He claimed that a day later, the blast's deafening sound was still ringing in his ears.

It soon became evident that the airport had been attacked, according to Tedros Adhanom. Following roughly four blasts, panicked people began to flee.

Tedros claimed that at the time of the event, he was waiting close to the airport's designated passenger waiting area. Near him, one of the four explosions occurred.

According to Reuters, the WHO chief said, "I didn't know whether I would be able to live or not." due to the incident's close proximity. We were only a few meters away when it occurred. It might have resulted in a direct strike if it had been a bit here and there.

Tedros claimed that he and his coworkers were stranded at the airport for approximately an hour following the event, during which a drone was flying overhead. They feared that another attack might break out. He said that pieces of the missile were found among the debris by him and his coworkers.

Tedros pointed out that there was nowhere to hide from the assault at the airport.

Following a drone and missile attack on Israel by Houthi rebels in Yemen, Tel Aviv conducted the attack in Sana'a. In support of the Palestinians in Gaza, the Houthis said they carried out the attack in Israel.

Three persons were murdered in the attack on Sana'a airport, while another three were slain in the Hodeidah area, according to the Saba news agency. These attacks harmed an additional 40 persons.
