A handcuffed prisoner in the US is shown being assaulted in a video that becomes viral; the prisoner later passes away

A video of New York prison guards punching a shackled prisoner has gone viral on the internet. The morning following the beating, the man passed away. This has been the subject of a lot of criticism.

Robert Brooks, 43, has been recognized as the deceased convict. On December 10, he passed away. Mercy Correctional Facility in New York had battered him earlier in the day.

Later, a bodycam recording of the beating went viral. A tiny video camera that is affixed to the body is called a bodycam. This video camera is typically used by police or security personnel to make an arrest or preserve evidence at a crime scene.

Following the event, 13 prison officers and a prison nurse were fired by New York Governor Cathy Hawkell.

The incident is being investigated by the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James. The New York prison workers' union, however, called the video "outrageous."

Robert may be seen seated on a physical examination bed at the medical center in the video that was made public last Friday. The authorities are currently striking the groin and face repeatedly.

Additionally, an officer can be seen on camera placing something in Robert's mouth before striking him. His stomach is being repeatedly struck by a shoe from another officer.

The day following the beating, Robert passed away. According to the preliminary inspection, he asphyxiated to death.

At first, though, it was unclear why Brooks was beaten by prison guards when they brought him to the physical examination facility. In the video, nobody can be heard.According to the AP, Brooks was incarcerated for 12 years for assault. On the day of the beating, he was transported from a nearby detention facility to Mercy detention Facility.
