Israel launches retaliatory airstrikes against Iran

In retaliation for the devastating Iranian missile attack on Israel earlier this month, the IDF claims to have carried out "precision strikes" on Iranian military installations. In Tehran, many explosions were reported.

In reaction to the Iranian missile strikes earlier this month, the Israel Defense Forces carried out what it described as "precise strikes on military targets" in Iran on Friday.

In the meantime, Israeli bombings and ground combat persisted in Lebanon, with fresh Israeli attacks on Beirut, and Gaza, especially in the northern portion of the strip.

36 Palestinians are killed by Israeli strikes, and medical personnel in northern Gaza are unreachable.

As Israeli military operations in the northern Gaza Strip continue, smoke rises above Beit Lahia, which is next to Jabalia, on October 26, 2024.

Additionally, the Health Ministry said in a statement that it was unaware of the whereabouts of about thirty medical staff members at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, which has been the target of fierce Israeli attacks for weeks.

Israel is accountable for their lives, according to the ministry. According to the government, the Kamal Adwan Hospital is now operating with just three physicians caring for about 300 patients.

Concerned about the safety of one of its surgeons, Dr. Mohammed Obeid, who works at Kamal Adwan Hospital, Doctors Without Borders released a statement on Saturday. The humanitarian group stated it stopped communicating with Obeid on October 25. MSF is an acronym for its French name.

"The hospital and its surroundings have been subjected to intense military operations by Israeli forces and recent media reports indicate several medical staff detained on the morning of 26 Oct.," MSF stated in a statement.
